With a Degree in HR, my professional journey has been dedicated to cultivating positive workplace environments. Strategic contributions have been made at renowned organisations such as Amazon, Byjus, HDFC Life, and PolicyBazaar, where I played a pivotal role in shaping HR functions.
As the Head of HR at 9HEAVEN, a synthesis of traditional HR practices and a passion for integrating technology into HR solutions define my approach. Drawing from diverse experiences, I possess a nuanced understanding of the intricacies of employee concerns, facilitated career progression and oversaw training and development initiatives.
With a rich background in steering HR grievances, shaping policy frameworks, and fostering positive workplace cultures, I am adept at managing intricate aspects of employee relations. My expertise extends to guiding career progression and curating impactful training and development initiatives. Our Story So Far
The inspiration for 9HEAVEN stemmed from my avid interest in reading novels, particularly those from Chinese literature. In Chinese mythology, there are references to the concept of nine heavens, with the ninth being the highest. This idea resonated with me, and in one of the novels I read, reaching the ninth heaven symbolized the pinnacle of achievement. When I conceptualized 9HEAVEN, I aimed for a name that carries impact and reflects a top-tier status—an identity that is unique and stands out in the market.
The term 'ninth heaven' represents the epitome of what I aspire to create, aligning with the vision I have for my endeavors. It signifies reaching the highest level of excellence. After thorough consideration, I settled on the name “9HEAVEN”. At our core, we prioritize delivering unwavering reliability, ensuring the utmost security of your data, and consistently achieving optimal performance.
The Beginning
In 2016, the focus shifted towards ideation, diligent planning, and the necessary groundwork—addressing legalities and understanding intricate processes. This phase demanded considerable time investment, involving active participation in networking events, engaging with fellow startup founders, and absorbing insights on implementation. The subsequent years, 2016 and 2017, were dedicated to the practical aspects of connecting with potential partners, pitching ideas, and navigating the financial quarter.
Assembling the right team required time and effort. Today, our optimized process ensures an effective approach to team building. The early phase involved navigating through the complexities of hiring, onboarding individuals, and ensuring effective training for seamless collaboration on projects.
Embarking on an Upswing
In the journey of making our services better we decided to team up with big names in online payments like Razorpay, PayU, and Instamojo. This meant that our customers could now trust our payment systems more because they were backed by these reputable companies. As we continued, we realized our customers needed more than just good payment – they needed a solid foundation for their websites too. So, we started offering hosting services. Now, our clients have everything they need for a successful online presence. It’s like building a strong team with our payment partners and providing a one-stop-shop for our customers’ digital needs.
High Point and Major Breakthrough-
In early 2020, during the first quarter, I began networking, and positive results started emerging. With several projects in the pipeline, anticipated to deliver in March or April, were successfully completed. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it had a profound impact, particularly on industries like fashion and manufacturing, where most of my clients operated. The majority of projects, especially in e-commerce, had to be halted due to the uncertainties.
Halfway through the Journey
Building this company has been a deeply emotional journey for me. Along the way I had the privilege of leading a strong team of nine dedicated members. Each contributing their unique talents and passion. As the circumstances unfolded making the tough decision to let go of some team members became a heart-wrenching reality. It was a challenging time, given the effort put into expanding the team. The experience underscored the importance of finding the right people, as the process of building a capable team was more complex than acquiring projects.
I realized that it’s crucial not to take on more work than can be effectively managed, as finding skilled individuals is a substantial challenge. The focus shifted to maintaining a balance between acquiring work and ensuring the ability to deliver high-quality results. It became clear that maintaining a good professional image and delivering quality work is paramount, even if it means passing on certain opportunities.
Progression
Between 2020 and 2021, there was a noticeable slowdown in activities. Amidst this, I began expanding my reach by connecting and pitching internationally. Through a series of developments, 9HEAVEN evolved into an international presence, gathering significant acknowledge. Through word of mouth it led us to clients based in Europe.
Launch of Dream Project
In 2022, I initiated the launch of the 9Toolkit, a project I had long envisioned. I conducted a trial to gauge its reception and functionality. Recognizing the gaps in existing offerings in the market, I saw an opportunity to provide a truly valuable solution. The 9Toolkit was crafted to address the shortcomings of available products, offering a distinct and superior solution in the market. It has proven to be a unique and effective tool, with shared victories, as existing players offer subpar products with limited alternatives in the market.
